Here at Poplar Linens charity is very close to our heart.

Our MD, Mr Sean Walsh, wanted to raise awareness for a local charity, The Mayo Roscommon Hospice, and came up with the idea of producing the worlds largest tea towel. In addition Poplar Linens, along with the Mayo Roscommon Hospice and celebrity chef Neven Maguire, produced a tea towel that includes a recipe for wheaten bread from the acclaimed Neven Maguire. These are to be sold at local retail outlets and all profits raised from the sale of this product will go to the Mayo Roscommon Hospice.

The Tea Towel (pictured) measures 49 foot x 34 foot (15 metres x 10.5 metres). Technically no one machine could make this but with specialist machinery this obstacle was overcome. The tea towel has been verified by the Guinness Book of Records, as the world’s largest tea towel.
